Education
The number one priority of all educational establishments is Safeguarding of their students and is one of the key areas that Ofsted will look at, indeed fail on Safeguarding and you will automatically be a failing establishment. A key element of that is ensuring the physical site is secure, for both students and staff.
While at the same time as controlling visitors there is also the requirement for legitimate visitors, which for a large school for example could be a lot of people for very short periods.
