Installation Terms and Conditions

Standard Terms and Conditions

 

These terms and conditions are those under which Securasound Limited provide any of its services, either at its sites, its customers or third party sites. For online orders please Click here - Webshop Terms & Conditions. 

 

At all times these conditions will be valid except when a senior member of our company offers under separate cover different terms or agrees to different terms.

 

A.I.  Prices – Unless stated all verbal quotations given by the company will be valid for a period of seven days, written quotations will be valid for a period of 30 days.

 

After that period we reserve the right to withdraw or amend our quotation specifically with reference to increases imposed by manufacturers.

 

Any quotation that is 12 months old will be subject to re-quotation, save where the works are a service agreement and the quotation may remain valid with minor adjustments to the costing.

 

All prices quoted are Sterling and exclusive of value added tax at the current prevailing rate.

 

II. Invoice Due Date - All payments will be due for settlement in full either 14/30 Days from invoice;  this will be specified on invoice, if not stated 30-days.  Invoices paid late will incur interest at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate. 

 

III. Retention – No part of any monies due to Securasound Limited to be held back either as a contract retention or for any other reasons.  All monies to be paid, as per above; any retained money will incur monthly interest charged at 5% per month or part month.

 

IV. Factoring/Leasing – Should you use any of these unless it is a leasing agreement supplied by Securasound Limited it will be your responsibility to ensure compliance with their terms and to ensure we receive payment according to ours.

 

V. BACS – If you wish to pay by BACS or similar please contact our accounts department for our bank details.

 

VI. Credit Terms – Unless we have agreed to offer credit terms, supply only will normally require payment via pro-forma invoice.  Supply and Install works will either require payment in full on completion or a deposit and the balance on completion.

 

B.I. Warranty – All new Securasound installations have a minimum of 12 months warranty on all parts and labour, variations to be by agreement.  Some manufacturers now offer extended warranty periods on equipment supplied.  While we are happy to pass on this extended warranty, it does not include any visits to site to collect/return – de-install/re-install the equipment or the cost of carriage to and from the manufacturer, all of which will be chargeable.

 

II. Hours of Working – Securasound Limited’s normal hours of working are Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays, 8am to 5pm.  However in order to complete works for a competitive rate it may be necessary for us to work outside these hours particularly into the early evening.

 

In this instance you will be expected to have sufficient resources to allow this to take place.  Should this not be possible we reserve the right to submit an additional invoice to cover our costs i.e.  Our engineer estimates that at 5pm he has another hours worth of work to complete your installation at a site 100 miles from our offices.  He is declined permission to continue and asked to return on another day.  If so this will be accommodated, however we will charge for the additional labour and travelling necessary to complete the works.

 

Works that take place outside our normal working hours, which are a commencement or follow on from a period of normal working will be charged at our standard hourly rates.

 

Any works scheduled to take place after normal working hours Monday to Friday and on Saturday or Sunday will be charged at the prevailing overtime rate.

 

III. Timetable – All work unless otherwise stated will commence within 21 days from receipt of your official written order.

 

Once an installation has commenced we would normally expect to continue attending site on a daily basis until completion.  However to suit the needs of all parties this may not be practical i.e. awaiting works of a third party/supplier.

 

Also on larger/longer jobs Securasound Limited may find it necessary to reduce or temporarily remove labour from site to meets its overall company commitments.  Should this be necessary and unless this is for an unreasonable time frame, Securasound Limited shall not incur liability.

 

IV. Access  -  All quotations assume free and uninterrupted access to all areas at all times.  If our engineers are to be escorted while on your site it is assumed you will have sufficient resources to allow this at all times.

 

If this is not possible we reserve the right to change for any extended or additional times required on site.

 

V. Power – All power supplies required are to be supplied by others.  These are to be clean single phase supplied as unswitched fused spurs or sockets by agreement.

 

These are to be in place before commencement of works to all required positions.

 

In some instances Securasound Limited may be able to carry out electrical supply work in-house, however this will be by separate agreement.

 

VI. Licensing – Some systems supplied by Securasound are unlicensed, some have a lifetime license on purchase, while other systems require an annual fee.  In instances of the latter Securasound will not accept liability to pay sums due on behalf of the client, save where the client has agreed to refund the sum due to Securasound Ltd.

 

C.I. Official Orders – While Securasound will accept these verbally, in writing by post, or email it is the responsibility of the client to ensure they are issued.  If we receive a communication to carry out works, it will be assumed that the person within your organisation has the authority to do so, including complying with these Terms and Conditions.

 

II. Permission – It is the clients responsibility to obtain all necessary permissions to allow us to undertake any works.  These include but are not restricted to Planning Permission, Highway Permission, Third Party Rights of way and Way Leave Agreements.

 

III. Ownership – All goods and services supplied by Securasound will remain the property of the company until payment has been received in full.

 

Should payment not be forth coming Securasound reserves the right to re-enter the site and remove any items it has supplied.

 

IV. Insurance – Securasound Limited carries full Public Liability for all its works, however once installed it is the clients responsibility to ensure the system is fully insured, particularly any covering a public highway or other 3rd party area.  To ensure compliance with any insurance, if a service agreement is not taken out at the end of any inclusive warranty period, it is recommended that all equipment is inspected by a “competent” person at least annually.  Particular attention should be paid to external equipment i.e. PTZ’s and devices overhead i.e. magnetic locks.

 

V. Commencement Insurance – once any equipment has been supplied or installed on your site, it is your responsibility to insure the equipment against theft, damage or other, including goods delivered as below.

 

VI. Delivery – To facilitate working, it may be necessary to arrange delivery of equipment to site from the manufacturer.  It is the clients responsibility to receive such and keep safe.  Any damage caused to the goods in your “keeping” will be at your liability.

 

D.Cancellation – once an order or request for attendance has been placed, Securasound will start to incur costs on your behalf which must be settled even if no works on site take place.

 

I. Call Out – On occasion when a request is made for an engineer the fault is resolved before the engineer arrives on site.  However part of the journey may have commenced, a charge will be incurred for this travelling time, including for the return element of the journey.

 

II. Equipment – On an installation a period of days could pass between is receiving your order and commencing work on site.  However during this time we will be ordering equipment and commencing pre-site assembly works.  Cancellation at this stage may incur a re-stocking charge with our suppliers or the equipment may not be returnable for a full refund dependant on the works being carried out.

 

III. Specialist Equipment – Any part or equipment that is manufactured exclusively for your system will be chargeable in full.

 

E.I. Specification – Securasound Limited will accept no liability for failure of a system to perform when the specification, has been provided by others, and our equipment meets the specification.  In the event that Securasound provides a specification which is installed as prescribed the liability to change the system will be ours.  However in certain instances we will provider a 1st option that meets your requirements and other options typically at a lower price that will meet the majority but not all your requirements, again no liability can be accepted in this instance.  Also we may request works or a course of action by either ourselves or others, which you do not allow or feel able to accept.  Again no liability will be accepted for failure to meet the system requirements or specification.

General

I.  Any breach of the terms and conditions will allow Securasound to surcharge the client for any losses or expenses incurred at our standard rates.

 

II.  The Company/We or Us shall mean Securasound Limited or any of its employees.

 

III.  The Client, Customer or You shall mean any group, body or organisation, either legally or non-legally formed who orders goods and /or services off Securasound Ltd.

 

IV.  Any examples provided in these Terms and Conditions are purely for information or clarification purposes, they are not fully exhaustive.

 

V.  Any reference to the singular shall also include the plural and vice-versa; also male gender references shall include female and again vice-versa.

 

VI. These terms and conditions and any contractor or order shall be governed by English Law and the jurisdiction of the English Courts.  Should any condition prove unlawful this shall apply only to that condition and not remove the need for compliance with all other terms.
